porch awning assembly question(s)

hi, me again (sorry about all these questions :blush: )

recently purchased a very good used ontario 390 porch awning.

now it has no instructions for assembly, but a quick google search and i found them, but..no picture instructions! 🙁

so i have a few questions (again sorry)

1) it has only got 2 "guy ropes", 1 each corner, is this right?

2) the metal ring where the 4 main poles go into on end has a metal pin, i say its to go inside the pole and then pole in the ring, with said the pin does not go inside the poll, who's right?

3) how many pegs do i actually need? do i have to put 1 through every single grey ladder bit?

4) any hints or tips for when assembling it?

i noticed that some had more. i'm guessing that they have added some extras on at some point.

think i may buy some as extras
