Hi Guys, I hear what you are saying about current vans having wiring and in some cases lights inside th egas locker, but that is how the van was built and certified.

However, we now come to the current regulations as discussed at length in the PIR topic, and current legislation prohibits such wiring, and if doing work on the van now, you must adhere to the current regs.

Crazy does not describe it, but there you go.

I can see the point though. There must be no chance of a spark being produce dinside the gas locker, which could happen with a light when switching on and off, or a bulb blowing and the glass breaking whilst the filament is still red hot.
PIR I thought it was about alarm systems and didn't bother to read it .It is quite alarming in fact

I think it is safe to assume Swift know the regs as well as anyone so I can't see a problem with the mod on your Senator.

If it works let me know and I think I'll do it too.

Cheers
