So one more help please. We’ve got a steady 4 hours to Zeebrugge but have got all day to do it. Do anyone know if we could park our entire outfit somewhere on the outskirts (perhaps a park and ride) and pop in for a couple of hours???

Would not consider it. Find a small campsite, pay them a days rate, you might be ok.

I would think about it. Brussels is expensive, there is surprisingly little to see after the Atomium, Grand Place and the alleyways around it packed with fish restaurants and the like.
You could find a campsite in Brussels and ask if you can leave your outfit there for a few hours - probably for a small fee. Many Belgians speak passable English especially those from the Flemish side of the curtain so you should not have any problem making yourself understood.

Personally, I wouldn't bother, as I wasn't impressed with Brussels at all. Go to Ghent instead. Much nicer.
