powrtouch mover, twin 4 or all wheel drive model 6

i know its the 2nd post i have put on about these motor movers but i only get one crack at getting it right the 2nd time round.

do you have the twin 4 ( two wheel twin axel mover ), or the all wheel drive model 6 ( four wheel axel mover).

tell me what you have got?.

if you like?.

whats the difference in your opinion.

Hi Jo-anne i never tried the 4 wheel mover ,but i have owned 2 powrtouch movers ,i took one off my last senator Indiana ,before i bought a T/A Lunar Lexon ,meaning to fit it to the Lunar ,but in between time ,i bought a front Towbar and had it fitted to my wifes Nissan Terrano ,and its terrific ,i haven't found the need to use it on caravan sites yet ,but its great pushing the van up the drive and doing a sharp right turn up a ramp and parking alongside the garage , after all no mover has got more power than your car ,so at the moment the mover is in the garage ,until i get around to fitting it
 
We have the Powertouch model 4 on our T/A Bessacarr. It moves it fine, just driving the front wheels only. I know you are supposed to fit them to the rear wheels, but we have a mule security device fitted.

T/A caravans, even with all 4 wheels driven, won't turn on a sixpence like single axle caravans.

jo-Anna I have a Reich twin 4WD mover on my senator Louisanna it can turn on a 50p It is a very good mover on had it 1 year no problems with it I think it is the best William

you can update the heavy duty version ,by putting larger rollers ,and changing the electronic box ,costs about
 
Jo-anne, as i said in your last post we have a series 6. we were roginally fitted by a dealer with a so called series 4 - no good for our twin axle as its to heavy. Series 6 moves it like a good'n. Also like they way they will come to you if there is a problem while on site or even if your home. You dont get that with Truma.
 
i have a rhike single axel mover only 18 months old. so who would be able to do this for me when i get a larger caravan in the next few months, of would we have to do it ourselves.

Sorry never heard of that brand ,i have only had dealings with powrtouch movers ,i might not bother with an upgrade as i only use the mover for leveling the van ,and putting the wheel lock on ,i dont have any problems reversing onto any pitch ,so at the moment i am fine with out it
 
If you talk to power touch they will explain to you that you can fit the model 4 which should be ok unless you are turning on a slope, if the model 4 is not up to the job you can buy a kit to upgrade it to the model 6 (all 4 wheels driven) hope this helps
