pressurized water system

Can anyone tell me please is it possible to convert switched taps to a pressurised system with semi-rigid pipe system
(flexi pipes that push on to the taps and fittings) the van is 15 yrs old and I dont want to go the trouble of converting only to find a multitude of leaks at a later date.
thanks for any replies.

Hello Picasso,

On the face of it it should be relatively simple to add a pressure switch to take over the control of the pump. there's a good chance it will work perfectly well. 15 years ago the same types of pipe and fittings were used for both Pressure switched, or switched taps systems, so technically it should be fine.

You should be able to retain all the taps and pipes. The only changes would be the introduction of the pressure switch and arranging the wiring.

As the pump will be the same, the maximum pressure it produces wont change, so if you haven't got leaks now at joints or taps, its unlikely you will find any if you move to the the pressure switch.

Best of luck.
