I've been eying up the Primera 2.2 DieselEstate but Practical Caravan seems to report lousy MPG. Can anyone confirm the mpg particularly when solo, I don't mind sacrificing a bit for the few weeks I'm towing.

know somebody who tows with one of these and wishes he never got it, for towing or driving around as you say its a juice guzzler
 
RE NISSAN PRIMERA 2.2 DIESEL

WE HAVE A NISSAN 2.2 DIESEL HATCHBACK - AT THE MOMENT WE DON`T TOW WITH THE IT BUT WE AVERAGE AROUND 50 MPG EVEN WHEN GIVEN A BIT OF WELLY! WE HOPE TO START TOWING LATER THIS YEAR WHEN WE CAN FIND NEW VAN- WE RECENTLY HAD OUR BAILEY RANGER 470/4 STOLEN

Must be his driving as I average around 50 mpg - pretty good for a large engine- better than a Mondeo.

Thanks a lot. It seemed strange to me as All my Diesels have done 50 mpg + on a run. Have practical Caravan got it wrong this time??????
