Problem Fitting Truma pump conversion kit

Hello. We have a 2002 Lunar Stellar and have fitted the above, but the pump is not activating even though the light comes on in the van when the pump switch is turned on. We disconnected the battery before starting. Have checked 12V blade fuses but all seem ok. Is there another fuse somewhere that could have gone? We don't have a diagram of the fuses or a wiring diagram for the van .

Although I am not sure about the pump, are you getting 12v on the contacts where the pump plugs into the side of the caravan? Maybe a picture of the pump and another of the outlet may help?

Thanks for your reply. I'll do that - after the heavy rain stops 🙄

Hi,
It depends where the indicator light is connected.
If it's connected to the terminals of the pump motor you know that voltage is getting to the motor but it's not turning then the motor is probably duff.
If the light is connected anywhere else it doesn't tell you much.
Caravan manufacturer's wiring diagrams are usually badly drawn (by amateurs or children ) and won't help you much although a fuse chart would be handy.
You could make up your own fuse chart by extracting each fuse in turn and noting what device/system is off.
If you can, connect a voltmeter onto the pump motor terminals and operate system for pump to run and see if you have a voltage at the motor terminals.

Thank you. We'll do that.
