Good to find. My name is Ringhilescu, I am from Romania and recently I bought an Abbey Vogue 214 caravan, from 1998. My gas boiler does not work for this caravan. I opened the burner and cleaned it. I did a test with a 9v battery and the solenoid valve works, as does the igniter. When I connect the burner to the caravan, it does not want to ignite. I turn on the boiler heating from the central electrical panel, but it does not work. I mention the burner is Carver. 4 electric wires enter the burner. Is it necessary to insert a DIN plug into the burner? What seems to be the problem? The GPL is full.

Providing the burner is OK, then there should be a cable with a DIN plug from the rear of the burner control box to the wall switch.
Instead of a DIN system it may have a different cable with a telephone type plug on it.
If the cable is not connected to the burner module, the unit will not work.
On the control panel there should be 3 lights, Red, Amber and Green.
If it comes up Green that means everything should work.
If it comes up Amber that means a lack of 12v.
If it comes up RED that means the burner module is faulty.

Make sure the water heater is full of water BEFORE trying to heat it !!!!!!

Thanks for helping me,but I didn't find in my caravan that DIN plug. Could be this caravan model without DIN plug?
With 9v battery I made only the tests. With 12v still doesn't work.

The wiring is usually underneath the water heater tank inside the van, as this is where the burner module sits , usually not easily seen.

Tomorrow I will search again, underneath the water heater tank. I hope will be the lucky day. I will come with details. Thank you for your time.

Hello, again. Unfortunately, I didn't find the DIN plug. This is all I got. Could be the possibility that my caravan doesn't have the DIN plug, but only that 4 electric wire, as you can see in the images? Thanks

Hello, again. This is all I got. The main control panel, with 3 lights. When I push the Heater button, (last one switch on the right side), the green light is on.
Thanks for your help.
Regards

Your control system is somewhat different to most, but you have the right idea.
When the Heater button as you describe is switched on, as long as the gas is available, then the burner should light and supply hot water.

If however the burner does not light it means that either you have no gas available, in which case the Red light should illuminate, or there is a fault with the burner module, when the Red light should illuminate but does not always do so.

If the Amber light illuminates it means you have no 12v.

If the van has not been used for a while it can take several attempts to get it to light as the gas fills the pipework.

Good to find dear friends. Looks like half the problem I solved. The cause was safety, which I replaced. Now, the igniter sparks, the solenoid valve opens and releases the gas. The burner lights up, however, after a few seconds the flame goes out and the red LED lights up on the panel. I checked the annual and at this error it says that the power supply with the 4 wires must be removed and reintroduced. I took out the electrical plug, sprayed the contact, but the same result. I replaced the gas cylinder with a full one, but the same problem. After a few seconds the flame goes out. What do you think I need to do? Thank you for help.

Well done on getting so far.
When the red light comes on after lighting the burner it means that the flame recognition probe is not detecting the flame.

The flame recognition probe is built into the spark probe, it works both things, so it means either the probe is misaligned, which is unlikely, or there is a fault with the burner module, which is more likely.

It would need a new burner module, and as far as I know the only person you could get one from is Gary at Arc Systems.

Here is a link to his business: http://www.arcsystems.biz/

Good to find dear friends. In the end I succeeded. Alone. The problem was that neither you nor I knew that my burner was missing one of the walls, namely the small side on the left. That piece of tin fell because of the rust. The solution was the following, we started from Damian's specification according to which the igniter also has a flame sensor function. Since I was missing that part of the burner, the gas was not distributed to the combustion zone. I cut a piece of sheet metal and glued it with a 1250 degree Celsius resistant adhesive. Now the gas is distributed in the combustion zone and the flame burns nicely. Thank you all for your help. In the meantime I noticed that my wheels heat up when I walk. The problem is with the brake drums. Can you help me tell you how I can adjust them? Is it necessary to open a new topic on this topic? Respectfully, Ciprian
