PROXIMITY SENSORS

I would ike to use a Maplin (or simular) 4 set reversing sensor kit on the side of my caravan hooked into LED warning lights as a deterrant to would be opportunist thieves. Does anyone know where the feed from the sensors via the control box and leading to the warning buzzer would support LED lights.

Alternativly has anyone a method of connecting and supporting LED lights from such sensors. Not too technical please

Hello Wayne,

May I suggest you try the idea out on a mock up of some sort before you cut any holes in your valuable caravan.

I am not sure the sensors will respond to humans. The devices are usually ultrasonic, and work best with hard surfaces of reasonable area.

A soft human body will absorb much of the sound energy and may not reflect enough to trigger the sensors.
