Pull in for couple of hours, close to Hayling Island

Hello, We're traveling M25, A3 to Hayling island this Fri, arrival on site from 1 pm, want to leave early to avoid the worst of traffic, so looking for somewhere to pull in for onboard brunch en route, preferably close to Hayling Island. Ideas, suggestions, please. TIA

There is a reasonably decent layby just after Petersfield at Butser Hill on the A3 or I have seen caravans in the car park at Morrisons at Horndean. The exit is signed posted Emsworth B2149. You cross back over the A3M and Morrisons is on the right.

Just thought of another option. Take the Buriton exit off the A3M just after Petersfield. Go straight over the next roundabout heading for Petersfield and before you get into the town there is a large layby on the right hand side. It's no distance of the bypass.

We did that route last weekend with the van, joining the A3 up by the Hogs Back at Guildford. Wanted a stop as were early. At first there were no laybys on the A3, was thinking it would be poor that way. We spotted one that was small and used it, but then there were loads of better ones, the southerly part has plenty
