punctures

Hi. Have just seen an advert for Ultraseal caravan and trailer puncture prevention kit. Would welcome any advise or comments on this product, would it prevent blowouts or other tyre damage while on the move. Thanks in advance..CliveJ

Fit Tyron bands and don't worry about anything else . I'm always suspicious of things like this.

Our Tyron bands were worth their weight in gold when we had a blowout going down a road in France . Can't remember which - but afterwards we were told it had a terrible reputation .

We realised something was wrong and were able to go on a wee bit till we could just about pull off onto a verge. You should have seen the trye - shredded was a good description 🙁

We used 2 Trangles and then changed the wheel ourselves - no hassle at all.

You are more likely to have problems finding a new tyre when on the Continent

Clive, Ultraseal is pretty good now, as opposed to when these products first came on the market.

It will repair a normal type puncture, like a nail through the tyre, but will not prevent a full blown "Destructive Blowout" of a tyre.

The other way it helps is by making the tyre run a bit cooler than normal, which is beneficial to the rubber.

I use this product on my van, car and mountain bike, and have found it invaluable.
