Purpleline motor mover

Hello, I've just finished fitting and testing a Purpleline Enduro II motor mover to my Abbey Vogue. Am just posting this to say I think it's a bargain (£549 from World of Camping). It's well made and has no trouble moving over 1400kg. It took me rather longer than the 2 hours advertised but then I am fussy about wiring runs, switch placement etc and I soldered the connections rather than crimping them.
This is the first motor mover I've had so I can't make comparisons but all seems good to me.
Ideally two people needed at the start (just until the motors and main crossbar are in place) but I did it on my own on the drive using old wood blocks for support while the brackets were bolted-up.
I got fed up looking at all the different ones, comparing spec and prices and so on and in the end took the view that provided it moves the caravan and doesn't cost the earth then I would be happy.

Mine has been reliable, fitted by myself 3 years ago to a Bailey Ranger, moved last year to our new Swift Charisma. No problems so far.

I used to have one but NEVER AGAIN.
I damaged mine on a kerb but there are no spares available., purpleline told me that they are shipped in from ???? as complete units!
So although I only wanted 2 small bits I had to scap the complete unit.

Hi, I decided last year to have a mover as well and even tho I am an auto electrician I decided to have it fitted for me, I went for a Powertouch HD which has a RRP fitted of just under 1k, I contacted Powertouch and they do various deals on reconditioned units and got the HD fitted with a 5 year guarantee for £650, I think normally they give a 7 year gurentee but with a saving of 350 I will settle for 5, excellent bit of kit a saves all the struggling in tight places and even the guy who came to fit it said he couldn't tell it wasn't brand new, I even managed to get them to throw in foc the cross actuator at the same price, always worth contacting the makers to see if got any offers before buying, having it fitted for me ( at home) also saved me spending 3 or more hours lying on my back under the caravan as well. Oh dear, wot no spares? Have emailed purleline to confirm or deny Barry's experience. I will update when they respond.

I have now received an email from Purleline, quote "We hold stock of some spares for our movers. They can be repaired if necessary."
Take that as you will!

I've got an Enduro fitted to my Lunar Delta and it works well despite only being the single version with a modified circuit board to work on a twin axle. I did have a problem soon after after it was fitted but my local dealer got the parts in the same day and had it all working agin withing an hour of dropping the 'van off with them. So yes spares are certainly available.

i fitted the same one about a month ago also from world of camping,(£499) chuffed to bits with it, the only thing i was worried about was the initial noise it makes when it starts to move, a friend has the older enduro and his makes no noise at all, so rang purpleline and they assure me that its supposed to make a noise to start, they seemed very helpfull and friendly.the only other problem i have is when my friend is using his and i use mine they sort of interfere mine cuts out then his cuts out, purpleline also tells me this can happen as the frequency that is used for the handset is very narrow and at some point you may come accross someone else where the frequency of the handset and control board is very near the your own frequency. other than that it moves the van as it should with no problems. i can say tho i am pretty handy with my hands (diy) but it still took me longer than 2 hours. i am also fussy when it comes to wiring etc.
