Hi all, Anyone been to the above site? Found it in Select sites. What I want to know is road conditions as I get nearer to Pyrenees and site of course. Won't be able to manage sloping or terrace pitches really this year. All info welcome.

Not sure which site in this small town that you are going to stay at, but can recommend one on the main road into town on the right hand side. A lovely base for sightseeing and easily approached through Lourdes on good roads. It has a level field and some shallow terraces.

I know the area well as I frequently ski in Bareges in Winter. Luz is a lovely little town and is a good base to explore the local area (Cirque du Gavarnie; Breche du Roland; Vignemalle; Cols du Tourmalet and Aubisque etc.). I don't know the sites in Luz (think there are 3) but they are all flat I think. The road from Lourdes is fine for vans but gets a little twisty and tight the closer you get to Luz with rock overhangs - but trucks and large buses use it so is no great issue.
