Re-Fillable Gas Bottle ?? 6kg & 11 kg

Hi

I've not used general refillable but do have a 'Gaslow' system which uses refillable bottles by default. Have a look at the website www.gaslow.co.uk

I would have thought that the initial outlay would take a lot of getting back in saving on gas or am I missing some other advantage

We had standard Calor bottles refilled in Yugoslavia in the 60s

Andy thanks for the reply

I am wondering how the system works

Presumably you have to find a refill outlet ?

With replaceable bottles there are lots of outlets so is it not more difficult to find places to get refilled or do you plan ahead

I am going to get a replacement Camping Gaz cylinder today and that is available Europe wide and as we use mainly electric for heating in the summer lasts us a long time(obviously our needs aren't the same as everybody's!)

We normally go to France with one full Camping Gaz and one empty to keep weight down a little

I did purchase a 6kg Calor propane bottle the day before the coldest night of the year and that was a good move!!

Now that it is used up I am thinking of Calor Light for next winter

Regards
