Recommend a 'rally' site

I thought the obvious place to start serching for a site would be here!

I represent a car club, and we're looking for a venue to hold our annual club weekend rally, which for the past nine years has been held in Nottingham. But now we're thinking of moving south.

We're looking for a site from a Thursday to a Sunday in mid June 2007.

Average attendance is around 6-10 caravans, 8-12 tents, around 15-25 cars (modern towcars and modified 'old' cars), and around 25-30 adults and up to 10 kids of various ages.

We're a very well behaved bunch, and need a fairly level site (ideally with around 10-12 hookups at our disposal) to use as 'basecamp' over the four days.

We don't need an onsite shop or clubhouse (though these would of course be a bonus), just a decent sized clean and tidy shower/toilet block. On the Saturday and Sunday we're not usually on site much at all.

The area? At present, we're thinking Hampshire/Dorset/West Sussex/Wiltshire kind of area. Once we've found a few likely sites (the owners would be made fully aware of what we do), we can then set about investigating the local areas to plan an itinery/activites for the weekend.

So, if you know of a potentially suitable site, or even run the ideal site yourself, please either reply to this thread, or email me direct: unfinishedproject @ btinternet.com (take out the spaces).

thanks in advance for any suggestions.

If you check with Billings Aquadrom they do a lot of specialty rallies or used to there, you might have some luck there. Our club has trouble finding sites to have rallies and are always on the lookout also. Good hunting.
