Recommendation

Sorry to just barge in everyone but I would like to ask your opinions on the best insurer for a 4 berth Stirling Seacher that I'm picking up on Tuesday. I know the Caravan Club are very popular but when I phoned I spoke to the rudest lady I have ever encountered and will not deal with them now out of principle

I phoned around and trawled the internet trying to find the best deal (best premium with the best cover). I eventually stumbled across www.cover4caravans.co.uk and was very happy with the price and cover.

Must admit though that I didn't look at Saga

I didn't go on price alone otherwise I would have gone elsewhere as there were cheaper options. Reputation was an important consideration.

The only problem with Saga is that your front door mat will be covered with junk mail.

Took us years to get rid of them, and we only made an enquiry.

Well I checked both and the cover provided was almost identical but the cover4caravans were a little cheaper (waste not want not) and I could buy online so that's what I've done. Thank you for your advice everyone and I look forward to picking up my van on Tuesday

Yes I agree with Graham.

I am with NFU Mutual and am just renewing with them next week.

A colleague of mine insures his Farm equipment with them and he said that when he made a claim a couple of years back they were so helpful and he had a cheque from them in 48 hours.

We were about to go with NFU until they told us they could'nt cover our Van because it was to be stored at my mothers house, 5 miles down the road.

Good morning everyone

Mike, I had the same problem with storage seeing as my drive in constantly in use so I store my caravan at my brothers house which is about 12 miles away. These cover4caravan people just agreed it over the phone with me and put me on cover. It didn't even occur to me that storage location would be a problem, I'm glad in my case it was not.
