Just noticed on the LPG thread Tim is considering buying refillable gas cylinders for use in the caravan.
I reasearched this and found a big problem - No LPG provider/garage is insured for damage if it all goes pear shaped!! And so they are ALL under instruction not to allow anyone to refill these cylinders.
Reasons are obvious when you think about it - a proper instalation in a car/caravan/motorhome is certified and approved and is a fixed instalation. It can and should be serviced. A separate cylinder that you buy and reuse time and time again will never get its integrity checked whereas your Calor gas (or whatever) cylinder IS checked during the exchange process.
So my advice is don't bother. If you want to use autogas in this way you will have to have a proper certified instalation in the caravan.
Separate refillable cylinders are a no-no.
