Hi,

probably a dim question, but how do you refill the onboard water tank on my Elddis typhoon 1998? know they have been around on vans for a long while now( onbooard tanks). But the vans up to this one i have owned have only been very basic.- whale pump foot operated. Was advised to drain the system down for the winter, which i duly did and opened all the taps in the van to allow air to ciculate.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Wayne

Think you need to sterilse the whole system before use.

Try Milton, or similar, but do not leave in too long. Follow the instructions.

Cannot advise you how to fill up though.

Jim.

If this is a hot water tank you are talking about, then it should fill up automatically once you connect up the cold and turn on the pump.

Yes, close all taps and drain plugs, connect water and turn on pump. Then open taps carefully, starting with those furthest from the pump, and purge the air in the system.

To sterilise the system we use Puriclean. Add it to the full Aquaroll according to the instructions and run it through until all pipes and HW tank are filled with the solution. Let it sit for several hours, then run it all off.

Rinse Aquaroll well and refill. Run the clean water through the system. Repeat with a second Aquaroll of fresh water.

If you have a filter fitted, replace it afterwards.
