Regulator stuck on Propane bottle

Hello

Can anybody help...I have been trying to remove the gas regulator off my propane bottle but it seems stuck. The regulator will turn but just won't pop off.

Any suggestions on ways to remove it or whether there could be a fault with it?

I'm assuming that you've got a clip-on type of regulator. Generally you will have to turn the regulator switch to the off position and then either push the switch lever downwards or push it inwards to release the locking mechanism from the cylinder valve.
