Relocation of caravan

We have used a seasonal pitch on the same caravan site in Devon our tourer for 6 years and are now ready for a change of scene. We have found a new site and would move at the end of October. As we no longer have a car big enough to tow (twin axle) we are thinking of using an 'outsider' to do it for us. How much would we expect to pay and can you foresee any pitfalls?
Any advice or information would be very welcome.

Thanks

Hi Anne
How far?
It sounds like you want it towed to the new site?
Six years in the same static position will caused problems eg tyres, braking system etc.
When did you last have it serviced?
It may work out cheaper to have it moved on a low loader and safer.
Even the professionals will not tow it unless it is in a fully roadworthy condition.
Even when used as a seasonal a tourer should still be regularly serviced.

Hi Dustydog
Thanks for replying.
No problem with condition as the 'van is ony 12 months old and has just had it's first service.
The distance between sites is about 25 miles.
Thanks again
Anne
