Renault mascott?

Hi, am new to motorhoming and considering a year 2002 Renault Mascott with just over 100k mls. It has a crew cab, and the rear habitation section is also branded 'Mascott'. It has a 2.8 diesel engine which I believe is common, and hence tried and tested?
Although it appears to tick a lot of boxes, has anyone any opinion or information from a technical point of view?
I have read of transmission issues... Many thanks.
