Replacing a window

Hi all, my brother-in-law had an accident with his 2006 Swift Carisma caravan in which the kitchen window was damaged and needs to be replaced. It is a brown window and he made a note of the numbers on the window and the chasis number of the van and ordered a replacement from our local Discover dealer but when the window arrived it was blue in colour.

He has since made enquires to different dealers including where he bought it from but with no joy.

He has also made enquires on the web quoting the window numbers only to find grey windows keep coming up.

As it was new when he bought it we can't see that someone has changed all the windows between factory and dealer so how is all this explained.

Can anyone suggest how to get hold of the correct colour window to replace the broken one as its getting very frustrating now.

Thanks

contact discover again and if they go on the swift website while you are there they will come up with a picture of the window, as far as i know I have never seen swifts with blue windows i think the firm used is miriad

Hi Paul, thanks for your suggestion but it seems that Swift are saying that they have put gery windows in their vans since 2000 and this van shouldn't have brown ones. This is strange because as I said in my first post the van was new when they bought it in 2006.

If all else fails, you could try the Exhaust Ejector Company www.eeco-ltd.co.uk/ who will match the window colour. Won't be cheap, though!
