Replacing Swift bathroom Tap

Hi all,
I am looking to replace a Reich mixer tap for my Swift Sprite 2015 caravan.
The old tap does not have microswitch wires but all the new ones I can find do.
Will the new tap still work if it's not connected?

Reich taps are eye wateringly expensive, so some on the Forum have replaced them with domestic taps from Screwfix. Not having a micro switch tap as OEM gives you that option.

The reason may replacement taps designed for touring caravans often have a micro switch fitted, is because caravan water systems are usually either pressure switch or switched tap operated. Many spare taps have microswitch fitted to simplify spare part stocking.

In your case it seems you have a pressure switch operated system, so the micro switch in your new tap is not required, but it won't hinder the taps function in your caravan.
