Being very negative, we visited a Michelin star restaurant in France for our wedding anniversary also in 2015 and were quite disappointed.

Nothing wrong with the quality of the food when you could find it, but the portions were very small taking into consideration the price you paid. I have had bigger starters than the main meal dished up to us. By the time we got back to the caravan we were starving. LOL! :D

The view from the restaurant was across the harbour so quite pleasant so made up for the lack of a meal. (y):)
Best to go for the Taster Menus, 20+ courses!!!

It’s like public car parks, supermarkets too etc. All are still sized for 1960s cars, and some authorities are now starting to ban cars over 5.0m.
I assume length not girth😉🤪
My VW is 4878mm before adding in the towbar. Shame for the Hummer owners😎

Lovely area. We used to walk to Great Staple Tor from our house in Horrabridge. On a nice day perhaps have a drink in the Merrivale Inn. Other spots would be swimming in the Walkham or the quarries at Foggintor where nearby at Kings Tor were still laying old sculpted stones destined for London Bridge. On Wednesdays it was sports afternoon, so a group of us “Oldies” ( aged early 30s ) would get the college minibus to take us on to the Moor for walking or sometimes riding from Sampford Spiney stables. I was also with the Yelverton and Horrabridge Scouts plus Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team (Tavistock). Looking back I cannot believe that I got any paid work done. Perhaps that was why I was airlifted to Canada for a solo year 😂

Relatively not that far away from you in an eastward direction in the Monadh Liath mountains. It’s Coignafearn shooting lodge at the head of the Findhorn river. Quite remote single track road few passing places, then leave car near a few dwellings and just walk for miles until the shooting tracks turn to bog. Deer, eagles ,red kite and osprey, and precious few humans. Sheer delight, one of our favourite places.
