Roof light removal/replacement

The roof light on my caravan has become loose-possibly when removing the caravan cover. The top piece is held in by two screws on either side and to tighten them it looks as if you have to remove the spring loaded arms which push the roof light up and clamp it down. Has anyone any experience of removing a roof light? Is it easy to remove the spring loaded arms?

Hi Morganic,

On the end of the 4 arms there is a screw in each arm which is screwed into the rectangular aparture sides. Remove these and the whole vent can be removed.

Some screws can be seen but on some vans there is a blanking cap which has to be removed first.

Hope this helps

Jim
