Route from Llanwrst to Swansea

Can anyone please recommend the best route to take from a Llanwrst to Swansea towing a caravan?

Personally I would go across country via the A470 to B.Festiniog, then Aberystwyth and beyond.

Little traffic and a joy to tow .
