Route to Crystal Palace from M4

Would be grateful for advice...

Am travelling to Crystal Palace CC site soon, from South Wales. The CC Site Directory advises I take the A406 North Circular, then the A205 South Circular at Kew Bridge. I was intending keeping on the M25 and driving up through Croydon.

Which is the better route (or is there another)???

North and South circular route is just wrong. What a nightmare.

M25/M23/A23/A235 through Croydon is definitely best for someone unfamiliar with the area. I was brought up around there, and there is a better way via Sanderstead/Selsdon/Addington/Shirley/South Norwood - but a single wrong turn and you could have problems.

Once you are near Croydon just follow the signs and head for the huge TV transmitters. You won't need a toaster to brown your bread in the mornings ..........
