Hi, This is a long shot, I know, but i wanted to ask if there is anybody who knows where i can find on the internet, or has wiring instructions for connecting a single socket kit to the cars wiring. We have brought a second hand towbar with a single socket on it to attach this week before we collect our van. All help greatly appreciated.

I don't think you'll find a diagram specific to your car. You'll need to just trace the wiring at the rear lights and identify the wiring colours.

The wiring in the towbar plug should be:

pin 1, yellow, n/s indicator

pin 2, blue, fog lamp

pin 3, white, earth

pin 4, green, o/s indicator

pin 5, brown, o/s sidelights

pin 6, red, stop lights

pin 7, black, n/s sidelights

there will be no reversing light wire in this plug

What you need to do is connect these wires to those of your rear lighting loom in whatever manner you see fit.

Regarding your 2nd hand towbar. Examine it closely for any damage or signs of stress. Be sure to bolt it to all available points on the car and use new nuts, bolts, & lock washers.
