After reading a article in Januarys camping and caravanning club which stated that there was a new law put in place last year that you had to drive with your side lights on (not sure if this was just if towing or for all standard motoring).

I was just wondering if anybody knows where I can find out the rules and regulations of driving in France ?

Jon, Peter is spot on, new regs. advises all drivers to use "dipped headlights". It may be "advisory" but you try telling a Gendarme that when he pulls you over and gives you an on the spot fine!.

Since October, it has been a recommendation but not the law to drive with dipped headlights. This advisory also applies only outside built-up areas.
