Satellite Dish clamp to tripod

Hi
I'm hoping someone can help me.
I had a satellite dish which had a clamp that I could attach to a tripod similar to the one in the link below.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sky-satellite-dish-quad-LNB-tripod-stand-kit-portable-camping-caravan-/350586795380?pt=UK_ConEle_SatCableFreeview_RL&hash=item51a099f574
However, the tripod blew over in strong winds and the dish fell over breaking the LNB. No matter how much I tried I couldn't get it to work. In a moment of red mist, I threw the dish away (clamp and all) as I was keeping the tripod and just thought I'd have to buy a new dish.
Said dish was ordered and arrived.
It was only at that point I realised my error when I saw there was no clamp in the box as the dish I'd ordered was for a wall mount and not purposefully for a tripod.

Can I get a tripod mount from anywhere or am I going to have to send this dish back, stop being so tight by looking for an easy fix, and by a dish that is "fit for purpose"?

I have now learnt to count to at least a hundred before entering into any future "moments of madness".

Thank you PC, you're my only hope (said in the same vein as Princess Leia said to Obi Wan Kenobi!)

Can you give us a link to the one that you have just bought as there is a possibility you may have to return it?

Hi Surfer,
I've just spoken to the company who supplied the dish and I'm told I need a "Triax Pole Mount" which can be fitted.

Any views on them?

Cheers

Ideally you want the mount to match the dish - my Triax TD has a degree scale on the mount which allows the elevation to be set before clamping to the tripod post - the difference in dish elevation between far NW Scotland and Cornwall is substantial and even more important if you tour abroad.
On the issue of dish blowing over, the effect of storm force 10 winds (gale force is only 7) directly on the dish, particularly a 60cm solid one rather than 40cm mesh, is huge - I gave up on the Western Isles last year as the wind was force 7 or above the whole fortnight. Pegging the tripod down helps in a breeze but isn't the answer in real winds - so I've rigged two tent guy ropes, one forward one backwards from the top of the dish to help stabilise it - it's working fine so far.

I've got a Maplins satellite kit - and I clamp it to my rotary washing line (about £15 from Broadlane).
I lower the line down the central pole by about 4-5 inches so I can still use the line for clothes drying but also I now have room to clamp my satellite dish onto it.
I have used some small pegs in the past but when it gets really windy, I've invested in some serious mo' fo' pegs that look like they've been made by Thor himself. They're about nine inches long and must be at least a quarter of an inch in diameter (of the metal).
They were £1.35 each from Raymond James Caravans in Atherstone. One of these and the line is going NOWHERE!
I've got five. One for the line and four others - one for each corner of the awning.

Hope this helps?

Until you're on sandy soil - then it's not the size/type of pegs but the number used as individual pegs pull out of the ground easily

The pegs I'm talking about are at least 9" long. They will work on 99% of pitches.

You'd have to be literally on sand for them not to work - but then nothing would work in that instance.

I would then use an auger and clamp the line to that..
