Hi Keith

Look at David Sullivan's site:-

www.satelliteforcaravans.co.uk

Before you disconnect your sat finder do you get "OK" for Lock Indicator

07D4 Transport Stream

0002 Network ID?

How's the signal strength and quality?

When you reconnect do you get the above readings? Do you switch the sky box off at the mains before disconnecting the finder?

Personally I don't bother with the sat finder, a good compass has always been good enough for me.

Sorry not much help really.

Cheers

Had same problem; leaving meter on is option, but can strain LNB connection in a wind and may get water damage.

I remade the "F" connector, slight screw in and slight shorten of centre core - worked fine! I think there was a short on one connection due to differing threaded length on male part; ooh Matron!
