I have been trying to find a seasonal site ,reasonable price and available in East Anglia convenient for coast. Cannot find one I am interested in storage where they then pitch caravan.I am concerned as to whether the pitch will be available when required without booking far ahead. When I ask the question they are a bit vague. I want to be able to say I would like to go to the caravan next week but cant see it working. Any advice from someone with experience would be appreciated. Any help with sites would be good.

Pictch & Store is a brilliant concept
We have had our caravan on pitch&store sites for the last 2 years now and think it's a brilliant idea. To arrive on the Friday night and the carvan is already on the pitch is so good. We can't make very weekend so seasonal pitches are a good match for us but if we towed the caravan home it would have to go into store and that would be awkward on Sunday nights and adds and extra burden at the end of a trip. It also allows the site to use their pitches more - and not just a sea of empty caravans during the week. Surely that's a good business model - they get some money whether we are there or not - but when we're not they can rent the pitch to someone else. More sites are appearing but they are very hard to find as the site finders don't include it on the search criteria.
The 2 sites we used were in Shropshire (Westbrook Farm) and Dorset (Wareham Forest) so probably not of direct use - but we could recommend both of them. Westbrook Farm is quieter, very peaceful chill-out spot and immaculately clean. Wareham Forest is much bigger and good for families with a swimming pool in the summer months. We do book ahead and have not had any problems although I would not leave booking for key dates too late.

hi, Done both store and pitch until the site closed down now are on a seasonal pitch in North Wales, much prefer the season one, so much easier than seting up on a friday night etc. now we arrive on site and in 2 minutes the kettles on just wonderful. If you have the funds go for the seasonal one I,m sure you wont be disappointed. Good luck in which ever way you decide to go.
