im thinking of buying a seat alhambra tdi 130 auto and wondered if anyone could share some experiences of having towed with one.my caravan has a mtplm of 1400kg and is single axle.
 
Andrew check the spec of the car as i am 99.9 percent certain that the tiptronic (auto) version of the alhambra / galaxy / sharan are not available in anything other than 115 bhp version, i was adviced by my dealer that the auto box is not strong enough for the extra power of the 130 or 150 bhp engines. we tried a 115 tdi tiptronic and found it to labour far too much with the van attached so went for the 130 tdi six speed which is superb.
