SEAT ALTEA

Hi Jackie,

I was going to buy a VW Golf Plus 1.9Tdi but read somewhere that the engine lacked "something" so decided on the 2.0Tdi linked to a DSG gearbox.

Unfortunately this option is not available for the Golf trim level that I want so ........... after a LOT of reading and a couple of test drives we have decided on a .......

SEAT Toledo 2.0 Tdi DSG (which we collect on Friday). Identical to the Altea but with a bigger (and some people say ugly) boot. Both share the proven VW engine / gearbox combination.

There is a report in the November 2005 edition of Out and About magazine in which a SEAT ALTEA 2.0 Tdi tows an Avondale Dart 545-4 ......... the car gets a decent write up.

Thanks Steve for that info. Good luck with your new vehicle. We are going for the Seat Altea 1.9tdi at the moment we tow a tiny Ariva - but hope to up-grade eventually.
