Selling a caravan, car etc

We are currenly trying to sell a caravan and have it advertised in various medias but we keep getting calls from agencies that claim to have buyers lined up, subject to us paying about a £60 fee, the last one claimed to be a credit company that had already arranged finance for clients.

I have always told these callers to bu***r off, dismissing them as a scam.

Has anyone actually gone with one of these agencies and actually sold the item????

Something along the lines of Barge Poles and not touching with comes to mind !!!!

Genuine reputable agencies / companies don't need to tout for business AND this sort of thing has been covered by consumer programmes as BBC's Watchdog etc.

We have had this,and if you put NC after the advert,you will not get any of them ringing you,it means No Canvassers.this works everytime,Good luck with it,Craig
