My 68 plate sportage tpm,s are very sensitive, one wheel dropped 1 psi, suspect due to cold weather and threw up the dashboard warning ⚠️ light. Anyone else have the same?
It's not TPMS sensitivity - it's Boyles Law - the tyre pressure will naturally drop 1 psi for each 6 degree C drop in temperature - some places have had a 12 degree change from last week to this.My 68 plate sportage tpm,s are very sensitive, one wheel dropped 1 psi, suspect due to cold weather and threw up the dashboard warning ⚠️ light. What you don't state is how close to the lower limit the tyre was before the temperature dropped. My 68 plate sportage tpm,s are very sensitive, one wheel dropped 1 psi, suspect due to cold weather and threw up the dashboard warning ⚠️ light. Anyone else have the same?
My fronts are 33psi per VW. Drop to 32 the warning comes on. Drive a while and back to normal. What you don't state is how close to the lower limit the tyre was before the temperature dropped.
Always do mine when the car has not been run, and there’s no sun on the tyres. My fronts are 33psi per VW. Drop to 32 the warning comes on. Drive a while and back to normal.
We are told never check tyre pressures when hot🙀
