Im taking our caravan in for its first service next week and was wondering if we need to empty the entire contents, Im not sure what they actually do and where they want to be. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

To find out what your dealer will do to service your caravan, ask them.
You can then decide if you trust your dealer enough to respect your property or not.
If you leave your caravan full of everything, how quickly would you notice if some thing was missing, and how cold you prove it was the dealer (or one of thier staff) actually removed it. an do you realy want the hassle and discord that might ensue if you did have to try to pursue a claim.
I think it is probbaly good sence to remove all valuable items that might attract unwelcome fingers.

Part of the servicing will involve a damp check. So the technician will need access to the walls throughout the 'van. Therefore any items left in cupboards etc may get in the way. The pipe runs will also need inspecting for damage or leaks, so again access will be required under seats and in cupboards.
We lost a piece of carpet once during a servicing. We had a rear washroom model, so cut a piece of carpet to fit on the shower tray as this is where we transported the Aquarolls etc. We left it in for the servicing as we thought that it help would protect the shower tray. It wasn't until we got it home that we realised that the carpet was missing. It was an hour and a half trip to the dealer so not exactly worth returning.
Always give a complete check on collection as well. The same dealer had left the glass lid on the hob in the up right position. So if we'd just hooked up and driven off it could have closed with a crash and probably shattered. There were other problems as well even though it was an award winning dealer. Needless to say that we didn't go back to them again.

I wonder if these awards are sent in the post as part of a promotion or whether they actually visit the site and do a survey with customers.
