Hi Jo
We've had a Shogun 3.2 did LWB auto for just over a year. It's a brilliant car, very versatile with seven seats. Excellent towcar, very powerful, stable and safe. Consumption is about 25mpg round town, 28-30 mpg on a long run and about 20 - 23mpg towing. We tow an Adria weighing 1500mtplm. Really came into it's own during the snow, unstoppable in 4 wheel drive mode. Try to get an Elegance if you can - the sat nav is great, as are the heated electric leather seats and seperate heating and air-con for the rear passengers.
Good luck

l looked the Sorento, but decided to stay with the one l new best had three Shoguns, only ones climbing the hills around Macclesfield to Buxton in this last years bad snow, other than the trusty Land rover defenders. Still was very tempted by the Sorento could have had a new one back in 2009 for the same price l paid for the one year old Shogun,l think Jo-Anne you won't find much difference, its just l prefer the Mitsubishi’s.
