Shogun/Alko stabiliser

Hi,

We have just purchased a 2007 Shogun elegance (new shape)and it has the spare wheel in the centre of the door.My question is will the AKS 3004 stabiliser handle foul on the spare wheel?.

Just curious before picking the van up from our storage site.

Look forward to hearing from anybody who tows with the new shape Shogun.

I have a 2004 Shogun Elegance Long wheelbase. When fitting the towbar my Mitsubishi dealer recomended fitting a 1 inch spacer bar between the towbar and the towball. Without the spacer life would have been difficult with the Alko 3004. It may be worth having a word with your Mitsubishi dealer. We have had spacers on all 3 of our Shoguns.

Sorry Hamer,forgot to mention that the towbar is a witter swaneck removal bar so the spacer is not a option.
