shower door

We have a magnetic strip that keeps the shower door closed but it seems to have lost its magnetism, apparently this can happen if it gets a shock, if it bangs together for instance. There is no mention in the handbook about this possibly happening otherwise we would have taken precautions to prevent it, also there is no safety catch on it for transit. Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem and so what if anything can be done to resolve it.

We too had a problem with loss of magnetism on the shower door. I'm not aware that it had received a shock but still do not understand how it happened.

I bought replacements from first4magnets.com and so far seems ok. You need to replace both strips as they are different polarities and you need a pair. Also best done in warm conditions to get good adhesion.
