Hi, am planning a tour of the North-East next year and want to start in/near Newcastle-on-Tyne. Does anybody know of a suitable site, commercial, CL/CS ? The two clubs don't seem to have any suitable Club sites and I would like to be within easy reach of the city if not actually in it.

Whitley Bay is your best bet, 20 mins from city centre by car directly along the 'Coast Road', or u could go by metro from Whitley Bay or Monkseaton stations into the city centre in half an hour. I've never been into the site but it's CC so should be up to their good standards. I live in Whitley Bay tho and I don't think you'll not get nearer to the city than that.

Besides, the view is lovely across to the lighthouse!
