sites in nourthumberland

hi guys just got back from haggerston castle was ok but bloody expensive can anyone tell me about other camps in same area say between amble and berwick that are maybe on the sea front but don`t have pay to enter entertainment centres and quiet! thanks very much from phill

Have a 'Google' at South Meadows Caravan and Tenting Park. Privately owned, but extremely well run. 15 Miles north of Alnwick / 15 Miles south of Berwick. 1 Mile off the A1 - no noise problems. 6 Miles inland from Bamborough. Great for walking. Village (Belford) 10 minute stroll away. Golf club about 2 minutes away, non-members welcome.

If you are in the Caravan Club there is a lovely site on the edge of River Breamish or even a site at Durham.

Oh, and there is always the Seaview site just outside Berwick itself.

I grew up in this area and Haggerston is mega horrible not to mention expensive. There is a nice site at East Ord on the outskirts of Berwick just off the A1, also Warren Mill near Bamburgh.
