Sites & Lay-bys near Loch Lomond

are there any nice sites or lay-bys at Loch Lomond, we are looking for a one night stopover on our way to invermoriston.

theres a nice site on loch lomond its the c&cc site at luss i was up at the ardgartan site a month ago and called in at luss its on the loch its self spotless toilets and showers very nice site its on the A82 or theres one on the eastern side of the loch Milarrochy bay near balmaha.The 01360 Luss site tel:01436 860658 or milarrochy bay Tel:01360 870236 none members welcome at each site word of warning take midge repellent we found the best cream is skin so soft the green bottle or the spray by avon and take a mozzie plug like the ones you use abroad hope this helps and happy holidays. Lomond Woods site in Balloch is really nice. It's not on the lochside but a few miutes walk takes you to the Lomond Shores visitor centre which is just outside the site. There's shops, cafes, restaurants and tourist information and wonderful views. A bit further along is Balloch centre with more shops and cafes etc and then there's the country park by the loch. All this in walking distance from the site, but I would recommend staying longer than 1 night. It's one of our favourite sites

Thanks for your replies, we might try the Forresty Commission Site at loch lomond if we cant find a lay-by off the road.
