Sites near Bath.

Going to a wedding nr Bath at the beginning of September.

Can anyone recommend a site, either CL or whatever. Thanks

Bath Marina is close to Newton Mill as well - nice site.

When you say nr Bath - in which direction?

Newton Mill and Bath Marina are both on the outskirts to the west and close to a Park and Ride to the centre of Bath.

p.s. Use the park and ride, taxi or walk if you can - Bath is a nightmare to navigate in a car, particularly if you are going somewhere central.

They also have a really stupid parking scheme.

Sorry. We are looking for somewhere within approx 10 miles of Bath.

Bath Marina is an excellent site within a couple of miles of the center of Bath.

If this wedding is in the centre of Bath and I did not already live in the locality I would do one of these.

Stay at Bath Marina or Newton Mill and use P&R

OR (the wildcard)

Stay at Bristol CC site which is a quiet site smack in the centre of the best of Bristol (tourist wise) and on the day of the wedding I would catch the river ferry to Temple Meads and get a rail return to Bath (Bath station very central).

You would probably need to get a taxi on the way back if the ferries have stopped, but this would be a day to remember for reasons apart from the wedding!
