skelwith fold best road to take

we went here last year for end of may bank hol lovely site toilets are ok not the best but not the worst dont know the best road because we followed my father in law but would like to give you a tip,we found that when we got there it was first come first serve you wasnt allocated a space as such and your just expected to find your own we were lucky and got two together but on the sat morning i opened my curtains to find another van extremelly close when i went out the lady said it was the only scrap of land left to park on,she had pre booked too but got there too late to baggsey a spot.

so the tip is arrive early or be prepared to get close to your neighbours.......................

klarky,

the A684 has the odd hill and Kendal, which can be busy.

I`d go J36 its dual carrageway, a bit longer but could be faster, certainly easier.

Good luck mate Tony A.

thanks tony

its about 8 mile difference, and it did(j36)look the better route,as you said,it was kendal i was thinking about.will go j36

cheers
