Skoda Octavia 1600 and hills!!

We pull our old Senator Sunray caravan with our Octavia and it handles fine, but we have not yet tried to tow up a hill. We are elderly and a bit nervous. Can anyone give us some confidence or otherwise please! Holiday in two weeks' time.

I don`t know the weights of your car or van, but with a 1600cc engine theres not a lot of power, you should try and avoid steep hills and get ready to change down the gears.

We are going to change from a small campervan to a caravan, 4 birth aprox 950 kilos to 1200 k, we have a 1600 cc picaso hdi.

Will that combo be ok do you think ??.
