Hi everyone,

I know this topic has been discussed on here before but not for some time so I thought I might try and get some fresh/new ideas that might have come to light since the last posting in 2007.

I am due to take my 1year old daughter away on a travel feature to Wales this coming half term and trying to decide on the best solution for her sleeping arrangements.

We are taking a new Olympus 540-5 which has fixed bunks & also a dinette so there is the option to put her on the lower bunk or on the dinette and use a bed rail/guard.

Alternatively I may try and find a lightweight and/or slim line travel cot that can be stored away easily during the day. There is also some fantastic products other products on the market which might work, such as inflatable ready beds and pop-up cots.

I know it isn't impossible to take away a baby as I've read some impresssive tales from those on here who have been caravanning with their kids since weeks & months old.
However I would love to hear about all your solutions and ideas as I am sure there is plenty I haven't thought of!

Thanks, Stacie

Can't remember where I slept from 6 months old in the van but my daughter from three months old slept in the side dinette of our then four berth with a fold down bed side. Never had any issues with sleep, either settling or staying asleep any diferent to at home. The puppy, that's a diferent matter!!!! will only stay half the night in her crate then in with big sis and still getting out about three times a night!! prepared food in advance in tupperware pots and defrosted each day.
