hi i have notice a small tricke of water coming in thru the seal on the front window- o thought it was because the window latch wasnt pulling the window in tight enough against the rubber seal - so i put a small chunk of cardboard behind the latch to help tighten the seal up but this hasnt worked -

is this just a case of replacing the rubber seal or is there another way that i can tighten the seal on the rubber and window?

any ideas?

I had the same problem with two of my windows last year. Bought some Bumper Care in Halfords,(tip from another forum), gave them a rub with that, and not a single drop has leaked since.

According to the wording on the container, it, "Revives colour and protects exterior plastics and rubber". It's an Auto Glym product.

(I use it on the rubber around my caravan door, as well as the rubbers around the car doors too).

Tim - I had a look at the makers' plates on a few of Bailey's caravans recently, and they only quote a tyre "pressure".

Personally, I don't think this is a very good idea, because that pressure is only suitable for similar identical tyres that are fitted. Eventually, if someone somewhere down the line decides to change to a tyre with a different Load Index, then the quoted pressure no longer applies.

Some manufacturers quote tyre size and pressure, which I feel is better, but still only applicable until someone decides to upgrade, for one reason or another.
