Hi

I am looking for a small non-commercial campsite about 1/2hour drive from Weymouth. The site must allow twin-axle vans and dogs. I would prefer it if there was electric hookup, but it is not essential, however a pub within walking distance that does good food is essential!!

Liz, The CC and C&CC have sites at Moreton which is easily within the 1/2 hour travelling time and a great pub The Frampton Arms minutes away between the two of them. The CC site is called Crossways, the C&CC site Moreton Glade.

Another small site is Rowlands Wait at Bere Regis with two good pubs in walking distance. It is a bit further from Weymouth but still within the 1/2 hour. There are sites on the outskirts of Wareham such as Hunters Moon CC site, Birchwood CP that are a stroll from the Silent Woman pub but these are stretching your 1/2 hour .Ray
