We have an official weather station in the village where I live and today at 13.40 hours it recorded a temperature of 32.8 deg C
........and the thermometer in my caravan stored next to my house was reading 39 deg C. with all the roof vents fully open!

Whilst in the Black forrest near the swiss border in June, the temp was in the mid 30s outside & 40 in the van.

We had to go & buy 2 electric fans to try & cool things down, even the mastic started to go soft causing me to worry about future leaks.
At our next site near Strasbourg we had a horrendus thunder storm, but thankfully no leaks

Hi Willi-Wonti............I was just north of you in Luxembourg during June experiencing the same temperatures followed by the same thunderstorms.
I was sited 35meters from the River Sauer which turned into a raging torrent after the storms.
Luckily the river did not rise enough to force us to move.

Hi gafferbill and willi-wonti glad your caravans did not leak, when we were in Bavaria three years ago we experienced similar storms, with giant hailstones, have you both checked the roofs of your caravans as ours was badly dented which resulted in the caravan being written off.

No damage to the caravan as there were no hail stones thankfully just heavy rain

.......the heat is following me around this year

Down near Angouleme France with a temperature today of 37C and not a cloud in the sky....been in the mid 30's all week.
